Caporus is applying patent-pending dielectric technology in the development of capacitors for power conversion systems. These dielectrics incorporate porous structures at the nanoscale to enable nature's ultimate insulator, vacuum, to operate at levels beyond the limits of conventional dielectrics. Caporus' technology provides performance improvements in energy storage capacity, operating temperature, and stability that translate to more compact devices with higher reliability and efficiency.
Kevin O'Connor is the Founder and CEO of Caporus Technologies. He earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri with a research focus on the development and characterization of dielectric materials and components for high voltage, high power systems. As an Innovator with Chain Reaction Innovations, Kevin leads Caporus' technical and business development efforts with the support of Argonne National Laboratory.
